Was the competition in the Jordan era as good as it is today? and do you think LeBron at his Peak could beat Jordan when he was good?

i think lebron is way more strong than jordan, they are both very good in the clutch, jordan is a better shooter, the compition 2day is way tuffer i think

I think that the defense of the past was much more arrgessive. And since were in a shoe forum I might as well bring it up. The shoe technology has a lot to do with a persons game also.

yea man....back in tha 90's they had dudes that were designated 2 fuck niggas up...they called em hitmen....tha pistons were famous 4 their hard defense.....LeBron is nice but he's no mike.....mike was jus all around great....i mean i give it to LJ....he doesnt have far 2 go until he's up there but he's not there yet

the comp was waaaay tougher in the 90's man, like fresh troy said dudes would take you out so that tells you they played better d. and they had so many good players in the jordan era, a lot of em in the 50 greatest of all time, if not in the hall of fame. name some guys in todays game that are hall of fame caliber that didn't come in the 90's not very many. lebron good but i think it's to early to be comparing him to jordan.

I think its more better talent in tha Lebron era but Michael Jordan is tha best I will ever see. Lebron has to win some rings 1st of all and I think Kobe is closer to Jordan than Lebron. peace

gotta agree...tougher defense back in the 80's and 90's. I was a kid but i loved the sport. Lebron is no MJ. There will neva be another MJ sorry kids you misted him...but you can find him today on channel youtube in a bunch of b-ball mixes.....better than nothin lol...also i would like to point out that i'm sure that theres people too young commenting in this post...If you aint at least 21 now...then you neve knew MJ as far as I'm concern so there for you cant make the comparision...just a thought

The question to ask is if Lebron or Kobe would be as good as they are now back in the 90's? The answer.... Hell No!!! The game of basketball was way to physical back then for them to make it. Now days ref's call to many fouls on little bumps and pushes. So with that said if Jordan in his prime would go up against the players of today, he would destroy them physically.

Jordan is the greatest player of all time hands down...

Lebron and Kobe are great players of our time...
