depends on the pair though :]
like if they're retro's, i wouldn't ball in 'em.
any other "team" jordans, i would play ball in those.

i would not play ball in the kicks that i am trying to keep fresh no matter what. If its kicks that is kind of beat i would play ball in it.

I use em for both. I want some 16.5's to play ball in. the white/black/red ones D-Wade wore or the Black/Red D-Wade wore. It's my school colors.

Get two pair, one to rock and keep super clean!
And another that you wear and allow to get messed up.
