Which team do you think Lebron will sign with during the free agency off-season of 2010?
So far I can see:
1. Nets - assuming they make the full move to Brooklyn, I think it's more or less a done deal. When your favorite rapper is recruiting you to play for his team, which just so happens to have relocated to New York (a city that will boost his overall image as a basketball player), how do you say no?
2. Pistons - the move to pick up AI in exchange for Billups & McDyess was an interesting one. But then I realized that AI's contract will be ending soon. Combine that with an expiring contract of, say Rasheed Wallace, and you have a nice little amount of cap space to make a bid for Lebron. The one thing that the Pistons can offer that the Nets can't is a solid team - Lebron would be playing with a core of Rip, Prince, & Maxiell. I guess it comes down to what he will put first - a chip or his status as a worldwide basketball icon.
3. Cavs - he's the hometown kid and they will try not to lose him. I've read that they were going to try to pick up Bosh to run with Lebron and company. We'll see.
